The General Assembly constituted by the representative from member
cooperative elects Board of Directors (BOD) for the tenure of 4 year
including chairman, Vice-Chairman, 5 members representing 1 from
each development region, 5 members representative elected by all
members including at least 2 women representative and 3 members
representative representing Central Level Cooperative unions including
National Cooperative Bank. As provisioned in the Bye-laws of NCF/N,
immediate past Chairman is the member for one term and Registrar of the
Department of cooperatives is the ex-offico member. NCF/N's bye-laws has
provision for 17 BOD. General Manager holds the post of Secretary of the BODs.
As provisioned in the Cooperative Act, 1992 and also in the
NCF/Ns' Bye-laws, a Accounts Committee having 3 members including a
Convenor, has been constituted by the General Assembly. It is
responsible to examine the books of accounts and supervise the
activities of NCF including policy, decision, programme and performance. |
